“About Last Night”

Casting is underway for “About Last Night,” a short film that follows a young woman who is trying to figure out what happened with an unknown man she met at a bar the night before. Two actors of color, aged 20–30, are wanted to play the starring roles of Ro and Marcel. The roles will require some passionate kissing/making out, but no other sexual intimacy or nudity will be involved. Talent will work on Dec. 20–21 in Los Angeles or in the Inland Empire area. Pay is $200 with meals provided.

“Broken Record”

Join the cast of “Broken Record,” a sci-fi horror short film following Van, who wakes to find herself in an endless void with only a record player for company, but things take a turn when the record player itself begins to interrogate Van for a crime she doesn't remember committing: the murder of her girlfriend, Emily. Los Angeles-based actors, aged 18–55, are wanted for various roles, including the starring role of Van. Filming will take place on Jan. 17–19, 2025. Pay is $150–$275 per day.

“Loathed by the Alpha”

ShortMax is casting talent for a new supernatural vertical web series. L.A. and San Francisco-based actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted for lead and supporting roles. Filming will take place on Dec. 3–10 in the L.A. area. Pay is $150–$600 per day.

“Shift”

Shift,” a short police drama, is casting talent, aged 18–58, for various roles, including the lead roles of Riley and Ethan. Filming will take place in February 2025 in L.A. Pay is $180–$300 per day for up to five days of work.
