Did the Oscars inspire you to get out there and nab a role for yourself? Well, you’re in luck because today’s casting roundup is full of fantastic opportunities including speaking parts on the AMC series “Turn: Washington’s Spies,” two dramatic short films, and more great gigs!
AMC’S “TURN: WASHINGTON’S SPIES”
The final season of AMC’s “Turn: Washington’s Spies” is casting talent for speaking roles. Seeking actors ages 18–54 who “must look authentically from the Revolutionary War period,” the gig will shoot in the Central Virginia area and provide professional pay.
“BLACK AND BLUE”
“Black and Blue,” a short film depicting “a young female musician whose dreams are attacking her in her waking life,” seeks talent for three leading and two supporting roles. Shooting is tentatively set for this summer in Chicago, Illinois. Hired actors will be paid $100/shoot day, with travel and meals provided.
“HIS/HERS”
Student film “His/Hers” is casting actors for two leading and two supporting roles. Following a “recovering alcoholic with mommy issues and a sprinkling of OCD” who gets stood up by his ex at a bar, the project will shoot April 14–16 in the Northridge, California area. Talent will be paid $100 for supporting roles and $200 for leads.
“ANNA”
Talent is needed for eight supporting roles in “Anna,” a short film and “a story about an immigrant in New York City struggling to pursue her dream of higher education.” Auditions will be held by appointment in New York City March 4, with shooting slated for March 28–April 1, also in New York. Those hired will be paid $100–$250/day, depending on the role, with meals also provided.
