Now Casting: Steven Spielberg’s ‘West Side Story’ Needs Talent + 3 More Gigs

There’s a place for you in any of the great gigs available today nationwide! The upcoming Steven Spielberg-directed “West Side Story” remake is seeking Latinx talent for background roles. Plus, “Chicago Med” needs a real medic, a daytime show is casting several roles, and a short film needs its lead. 

The upcoming Steven Spielberg-directed “West Side Story” remake is continuing its casting of background actors. Nonunion Latinx talent, aged 18–80, is wanted. No visible tattoos will be permitted. Natural-colored hair and shorter styles are required. There will be mandatory fittings in Brooklyn, New York City on dates TBD. Filming will take place through September. The NBC series “Chicago Med” is seeking a real medic, aged 18 and older. Filming will take place on July 22 in Chicago, Illinois. Pay is $185 for eight hours of work plus a $25 bump. Apply here!

Actors are wanted for a new Atlanta-based daytime show featuring real cases. Talent, aged 18 and older, including a married couple, are wanted for several roles. Improvisation experience is a plus. Filming will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on dates TBD. Pay is $400 for leads and $250 for supporting roles. Apply here!

Join the cast of “In Sudden Darkness,” a short film that tells the story of the blackout of 2003 from the perspective of a young girl named Tati. Talent of color, aged 7–76, is wanted for several roles, including the role of Tatianna. Rehearsals will take place in late July in NYC. Filming will take place on Aug. 17–18. Pay is $125 per day.
