A dark take on “The Little Mermaid” is casting two starring roles. Plus, a Sinclair Oil campaign, an Atlanta hookah company commercial, and a buddy cop movie are casting today.

“The Little Mermaid”

Casting is underway for a new feature adaptation of “The Little Mermaid” that will focus on the darker aspects of the classic fairytale. Two actors, aged 25–40, are wanted to play the starring roles of Aurora and Dr. Eric Prince. Filming will begin on April 12 on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. Pay is $1,000 per week for two weeks of work with flights, lodging, and a $40 per diem provided.

Sinclair Oil Filler Moments Photoshoot

Balcom Agency is seeking talent, aged 5–70, for various roles in a still photography shoot in a Sinclair Oil campaign. Fittings will take place on March 27, with shoots to follow on March 28 in Fort Worth, Texas. Pay is $500–$800.

Local Commercial Shoot

Three Atlanta-based actors, aged 18–40, are wanted for a local hookah company commercial. Filming will take place on March 22. Pay is $150 for supporting roles and $250 for the lead role.

Untitled Buddy Cop Movie

Drastique Pictures is now seeking two actors, aged 18 and older, for day player roles in an untitled buddy cop feature film. Plus, the production is currently hiring crew roles, including a stunt coordinator, a 2nd assistant director, and more. Filming will begin in late August in Los Angeles. Pay is $100–$200 for acting roles with meals and credit provided. The crew will be paid a deferred profit share.
