You can get cast in the Guy Ritchie-directed “Aladdin” feature and you don’t even need a magic genie to do so. The live action flick seeks an actor for the title character, as well as his leading lady Jasmine in today’s casting roundup!
“ALADDIN”
The live-action adaptation of Disney’s “Aladdin” is casting one male and one female actor, both ages 18–22, to play the leading man himself and Jasmine, respectively. The film, which will be directed by Guy Ritchie, will need talent beginning mid-June and will be filming through January 2018. Professional pay will be provided.
“PJ MASKS, LIVE”
Nonunion talent is sought for “PJ Masks, Live,” a touring production of the popular Disney Junior show of the same name. Seeking male and female talent ages 18–33 for several lead and supporting roles, the show will run Sept. 19–Dec. 20, with rehearsals beginning Sept. 10 in Connecticut. Pay will be $950/week, in addition to travel and lodging.
“WEAVER”
Lead, supporting, and day player roles are needed for “Weaver,” a “radio play/fiction podcast series centered around a contract killer living in post-war Los Angeles.” Voice actors will be needed for recording throughout June in L.A., and will be compensated a deferred payment of $200 for a one-off recording session, adhering to a SAG-AFTRA New Media Agreement.
“YOUR PRETTY FACE IS GOING TO HELL”
Background talent is sought for the Adult Swim series, “Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell.” Male and female actors ages 18–24 will be needed to depict college students in a shoot slated for June 7 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay will be $130/eight hours.
