In today’s casting roundup, grab a background role as backup dancers in the upcoming feature film “Marry Me” starring Jennifer Lopez and Maluma. Plus, a pair of short films and a TV pilot based on social media influencers are casting actors around the country.

“MARRY ME”
Casting is underway for background actors on the Universal feature film “Marry Me” starring Jennifer Lopez and Maluma. Talent, aged 18–40, are wanted to portray backup dancers in the film though no actual dancing is required. All actors must be comfortable with atmospheric smoke. Filming will take place on Oct. 23–25 in New York City with a possible wardrobe fitting prior to the shoot date. SAG-AFTRA rates apply to union members. “THE WELL”
Join the cast of “The Well,” a short film about a former couple who have a chance encounter in a new city and dissect their past relationship. Two actors, aged 25–35, are wanted to play the starring roles. There will be auditions by appointment on Oct. 26 in Austin, Texas. Rehearsals are TBD. Filming will take place on Jan. 25–27, 2020 in Austin. Pay is $150–$200 per day. Apply here!

“FOLLOW ME
“Follow Me,” a TV pilot based on social media influencers, is casting several roles. Talent, aged 18–40, is wanted for lead, supporting, and background roles. Comedy and improvisation skills are required. Filming will take place over two days in late October in NYC. Pay is $100. Apply here!

“DUSK”
“Dusk” is an apocalyptic student film set in the year 2050. A female actor, aged 18–25, is wanted for the eponymous role of Dusk. Talent must be comfortable wearing minimal to no makeup and have basic voiceover skills. There will be an open casting call on Oct. 20 in San Francisco, California. Filming will take place on Nov. 9–11 at Russian River in San Francisco. Pay is $350 plus travel and meals provided. Apply here!
