NYC Now Casting: Athletic Actors Wanted For TV Series ‘Rise’ + 2 More Gigs

Fall is finally underway in NYC and with the new weather comes new opportunities! “Rise,” a new network TV show is seeking athletic types in NYC for background roles. There is also a role available in a comedic online reader glasses commercial, as well as the lead role in a short film about a woman who fears she has not done enough with her life.

Background casting is currently underway for “Rise,” a new network TV show. Athletic male and female talent, aged 28–55, are wanted for the production, which will shoot Oct. 19 and 20 in the White Plains, New York area. Talent must be available both days. Pay is $121 for 10 hours of work (plus overtime, if necessary). Apply here!

Casting is currently underway for an online reader glasses comical spot. A male actor, aged 50–65, is wanted for the production. Shooting will take place in early November in NYC. Pay is $200 for the day, plus meals provided. Apply here!

“Darkness Deeper,” a short film about “a woman [awaiting] test results in a hotel near a special hospital that will tell her if she will die,” is currently casting a lead and supporting role. A female actor, aged 18–40, is wanted to play the main character, Sarah. The role will require nudity. There is also a role for a male actor, aged 18–40. The production shoots in November in the NYC area. Pay is $300 per day, with travel and meals provided. Apply here!
