NYC Now Casting: Be Featured in the Industry-Invited Showcase ‘Bound for Broadway’ + More

Are you the next Audra McDonald or Ben Platt? Show off your skills with a spot in the upcoming “Bound for Broadway” industry-invited showcases. Plus, a sci-fi–fantasy short film is casting its leads for a fall shoot, and a short thriller is casting talent of all ages.

“BOUND FOR BROADWAY,” SINGERS SHOWCASE
“Bound for Broadway,” the upcoming eight-year-old popular industry-invited showcases, is now seeking featured soloists, aged 16 and older. Rehearsals and showcases will take place in New York City on dates TBD. Talent will be paid a percentage of the ticket sales reimbursement. Apply here!

“PRISONER #1616”
Join the cast of “Prisoner #1616,” a sci-fi–fantasy short film that takes place behind the walls of a maximum security prison. A male actor, aged 35–55, is wanted to play the lead role of Rudy Vaspar, a man incarcerated for several life sentences. There is an additional lead role for a female actor, aged 20–30, as Monica, a scientific researcher, as well as multiple supporting roles for talent, aged 18–55. The film will rehearse in the fall in Astoria, Queens, and shoots in Staten Island and the Hudson Valley, New York. Pay is $100 per day for lead roles and $50 per day for supporting roles. “THE BEAR”
Casting is underway for “The Bear,” a short film about a family faced with tragedy and evil after two children go into the woods but only one returns. Talent, aged 5 and older, is wanted for several roles in the production, including the lead roles of Solomon, Mary, and Benjamin. “The Bear” will rehearse in September and October in NYC and film in Middleburgh, New York. Pay is $125 per day with housing and meals on location provided. Apply here!
