“Uncut Gems”
Separate from his major Netflix deal, Adam Sandler is back to work on another film. “Uncut Gems” marks Sandler’s first wide theatrical release since 2015’s “Pixels,” and though plot details for are still undisclosed, casting has ramped up lately, adding Idina Menzel, Lakeith Stanfield, Judd Hirsch, and Eric Bogosian. Production has officially begun, with signs caught on 46th Street and 6th Avenue in the city. Filming started at 6 a.m Friday, but you should expect to see crews throughout the city as the weeks go on. Jennifer Venditti is casting the film and will likely, at some point, need background actors, so keep your eyes open if you’re local!
