“Let the Right One In”
The upcoming Showtime series “Let the Right One In” is out for blood in NYC. According to notices in the area, the project has been filming its pilot episode near Hell’s Kitchen at 38th Street and 8th Avenue. The series will star Demián Bichir (“The Hateful Eight”), Anika Noni Rose (“Power,” “Little Fires Everywhere”), Grace Gummer (“Mr. Robot”), and more. Inspired by the best-selling 2004 novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist and its 2008 Swedish film adaptation, the series will revolve around Mark (Bichir) and his 12-year-old daughter, Eleanor, whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Filming is next expected to take place in Yonkers, Queens, and other parts of the city, according to a current casting notice seeking talent to portray upscale restaurant patrons; be sure to apply to that by July 1 for an opportunity to be featured in the series! Wittney Horton is the series casting director. Read her advice for actors and learn about her casting process here at Backstage!
