Pay to audition?
“I was just asked to pay $10 to audition for a film. I have never heard of that. Anyone else? I mean, wow.” —Jenniferalison

Monologue suggestions?
Hi, hope I’m posting in the right forum… Just got a callback for a Shakespeare in the Park production of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ in West Hartford, Connecticut. (Paid gig!) Of course, they want a two-minute comedic monologue. I’m a 55-year-old guy going for any of the low-status characters, or maybe Antonio.

“I gave them a self-tape of Trinculo’s strange bedfellows speech already. Any suggestions, Shakespearian or otherwise?” —boulder

Listing indie work on résumé and Backstage?
“How do I list an indie/low budget film on a résumé? The director seems to be a one-man band; I don’t think he has a production company. Is there a specific way to list this credit, even with missing information?” —gr33ngoblin
