Pilot season 2021?

“I remember a production where the rehearsals were very emotional at intense scenes. I wasn’t aiming to be emotional, of course. It just happened as I was performing my actions. However, by the time the show times came, I almost felt empty, as if I was spent inside and my scenes felt a little harder to act. Do self-tapes take longer to cast?
“I know self-tapes are pretty much what everyone is using right now, but I am still a little confused about the process. So for example, a lot of pilots and series regular roles are casting, so if you submit a self-tape for a pilot/series regular role and it’s multiple scenes, is that tape used for CDs to look at and for producers to look at as well? Or will you get a callback to submit another self-tape before that goes to producers?
“I’m also wondering, if the original self-tape is what goes to CDs and producers, how long can it take to hear back, if you hear back at all? Is it still the standard few days, or is it now longer because it’s a series regular and goes through more people?
