A new film directed by James DeMonaco is filming in New York City. “The Night,” produced by Blumhouse Productions, is casting a young male actor for a leading role.
The story centers around three friends in 1982 and an eventful, adventure-filled night they experience in Staten Island, New York. James DeMonaco is a seasoned and successful screenwriter and director of the hit franchise of “Purge” horror films.
The production is casting a male actor, aged 14–18, for the role of Albie Lenza. The team is searching for talent that is Caucasian or Latino/Hispanic.
Physically, Albie is squat, like “a human bulldog.” He is neither a cool kid nor a nerd, is best friends with Anthony, and happily joins him on his quest. Albie and his family are Staten Island, New York natives. Performers should have a New York or East Coast feel. An authentic accent is a plus, but not required.
Filming starts mid-May in the New York City area. The contract is for SAG-AFTRA, including required pay. See the full listing and apply here.
