Netflix is betting big on a pair of “Red Notice” sequels that are currently in development. Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds, and even Dwayne Johnson are all likely to return for the projects, too. Here’s everything we know so far about this new development.
“Red Notice” Sequels
Netflix is allegedly shooting back-to-back sequels of the action-comedy “Red Notice.” According to Deadline, the plan is to bring back Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds to star in the new projects “and add new characters to flesh out a heist-film ensemble reminiscent of the starry ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ franchise.” While Netflix has not commented at this time, the streamer is reportedly in the early stages of preparing for a back-to-back shoot of two sequels “with the hope to begin production in early 2023, dependent on deals and the schedules of its busy stars.” Rawson Marshall Thurber, who wrote and directed the first film last year, will return and has begun writing the new pair of projects. Rachel Tenner was the casting director for the 2021 film.
