“The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” has finally found its teenage witch in Kiernan Shipka, but the rest of her crew is yet to be cast for the CW-turned-Netflix horror-drama.
Casting is underway, especially with the February 2018 production date approaching. Late last year, news site That Hashtag Show posted a breakdown listing more characters that will make up the cast of the Archie Comics universe and “Riverdale” companion show. Production for the show will take place in Vancouver, Canada.
Like the popular 90s and early aughts show, Sabrina Spellman’s quirky aunts will be a part of the cast, Hilda and Zelda, in addition to a new cousin, Ambrose. All the parts are to be series regulars.
After the new year, That Hashtag Show also published more breakdowns for the show, seeking additional series regular characters like Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina’s boyfriend, and Rosalind, her best friend.
After the show’s switch to Netflix, Greg Berlanti and his company stayed on board to produce, which means casting directors David Rapaport and Lyndsey Baldasare, the team behind Berlanti’s other shows like “Arrow,” “The Flash,” and “Riverdale” are seeking out talent for the drama. There's no word yet on if the Spellman cat, Salem, will be making an appearance on the new adaptation of the Archie Horror comic.
