Southern California Playwrights Groups

The following is a list of groups in Los Angeles dedicated to playwrights and public readings of work. In some cases, submissions are accepted from outside. In most cases, the playwright has to become a member of the group, through submission of a play or by recommendation from a group member. There are, in many cases, monthly dues required; higher-priced workshops and classes have not been included. Be advised that some of these groups may take as long as six months or longer to respond, because of staff limitations. This list was drawn from the A.S.K. Playwrights Guide to Los Angeles, and other sources.
