Now’s your chance to star in the classic musical “Mary Poppins” or the hilarious short film “Stanley’s Mom.”
“MARY POPPINS”
Candlelight Pavilion is casting its production of the classic musical “Mary Poppins,” centered on the wondrous titular nanny. Auditions will be held April 18 and 19 in Claremont, Calif., for the ensemble roles, and the roles of Jane and Michael Banks. A rehearsal stipend and per-performance rate will be provided, and hopefuls should be prepared to dance for the audition!
“THE HOUR”
Several roles are being cast for the play “The Hour,” which follows a young woman named Cherise, who strongly believe something major is about to take place that is going to change everything in the world. Auditions will be held April 16 in NYC for lead and supporting roles (including Cherise), and rehearsals begin later in the month. Some pay will be provided.
“STANLEY’S MOM”
Two roles (Stanley and Stanley’s mom) are being cast for the short film “Stanley’s Mom,” a dysfunction comedy about “leaving the nest way, way way too late.” Bust out your comedic chops ’cause auditions are being sought from NYC for this paid gig! The film will shoot in April and May, and meals will be provided in addition to the $80/day stipend.
“A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL”
Eight roles are being cast for the classic holiday tale “A Christmas Story: The Musical.” Auditions will be held April 25 and 26 in NYC, and this gig pays $700/week minimum! If it seems early to start talking about the holidays, it’s not: Rehearsals will begin Oct. 1 and the show will close Dec. 31.
