Student-Rush Offers for Spring Break

It's spring break time again, and even the best of students want nothing more than to get their noses out of those books. As always, trips to Cancún or Grandma's condo in Boca Raton are ways to catch some rays and clear away those cobwebs (mental ones at the former locale, literal ones at the latter). Instead, why not save the tanning for summer and go sit in a dark room with strangers? You know, to catch up on some theater. Here are some of the ways that many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows offer cheap tickets to students.

BROADWAY

"American Idiot"
St. James Theater, 246 W. 44th St.

Lottery rush tickets cost $27 and are for a limited number of seats in the first two rows of the orchestra. Two hours prior to every performance, patrons are invited to enter their names in a ticket lottery. There is a limit of one entry per person, two tickets per entry. Names will be drawn at random one and a half hours before curtain time. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid identification to purchase tickets. Cash only. "A Behanding in Spokane"
