Sundance Fest to Honor Hunter

lly Hunter has been tapped to receive the Sundance Institute's Tribute to Independent Vision Award. The award will be handed out at a tribute to Hunter on Jan. 21 as part of the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, which runs Jan. 16-26 in Park City. "For us, Holly Hunter is an inspired choice to receive our 2003 award," Sundance Film Festival director Geoffrey Gilmore said. "Not only because of the risks she has taken and the range of talent she continues to display but also because of her amazing ability to constantly transform herself." Hunter appears in "Levity," this year's opening-night film at Sundance (HR 12/10). To be distributed by Sony Pictures Classics, "Levity" also stars Billy Bob Thornton as an ex-convict on his way to redemption.
