HBO’s upcoming drama series “The Idol” premieres June 4 and is already making headlines due to controversial production issues. Created by Sam Levinson (“Euphoria”) and The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), the show follows a troubled pop star, played by Lily-Rose Depp, trying to make a comeback in Hollywood. Tesfaye also costars as a producer/cult leader who influences Depp to make the wrong choices. While we have to wait and see if the HBO show will get a second season, we decided to round up some gigs that remind us of “The Idol.” From HBO projects to other dramas, here are a few casting calls that need talent now.
