2018 Tony Nominees on Their No. 1 Piece of Audition Advice

Like it or loathe it, auditioning is part of the job as an actor. In fact, according to some of this year’s Tony-nominated talent, auditioning itself is the job—and booking it is just a bonus. The sooner you can accept auditioning as the actor’s way of life, the better, and to aid in that process, Backstage sat down with 2018 Tony nominees from “Mean Girls,” “SpongeBob,” “The Band’s Visit,” “Carousel,” and beyond, all of whom shared their tried and true in-the-room advice.
