Broadway is a balancing act, a beast. “There should be a monument in Washington, D.C. for people who survive Broadway,” as one of this year’s Tony nominees put it.

Eight shows a week, be it a musical or play, is not for the faint of heart. And yet, there are talented—and brave—actors out there doing it and doing it remarkably, including Backstage cover stars Ethan Slater, Katrina Lenk, Brian Tyree Henry, and other 2018 Tony nominees, who share their tips and tricks for surviving eight weekly performances.
