Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.

“Black Mirror”-esque Short Film

You might have missed the casting boat for the hotly anticipated new season of Charlie Brooker’s “Black Mirror,” but you can still nab a part in a “Black Mirror”–inspired short film shooting later this month.

Just like Brooker’s new series, there’s very little information to go on for the casting. The story centers around a computer that persuades a husband and wife to kill each other after witnessing an argument with their son.

The team is looking for a male actor for a supporting role, aged 30–45, of any ethnicity. It’s a quick turnaround—shooting begins on Dec. 20 and you’d need to be available for the whole day. Filming takes place in Worthing, about an hour from Victoria station.

The project pays £100 and the casting call closes on Dec 18.
