U.K. Greenlit: Two Series, a Feature Film + ‘A Christmas Carol’ Are Casting for 2018 Production

Greenlit means a project is officially a go, so all you have to do is follow these leads to stay up to date. You never know where you’ll find an opportunity to land an audition!

“Top Boy”
The channel 4 London crime drama moves to Netflix for a third series and adds rapper Drake, DJ Adel Nur, and businessman Maverick Carter to the already impressive roster of creatives. Series writer Ronan Bennett (“Gunpowder”) returns and casting is by Des Hamilton Casting. Ten episodes will shoot on location in London starting on July 9.

“Six Minutes to Midnight”
Eddie Izzard’s self-penned feature is set during the run-up to the Second World War and sees the actor play a teacher framed and hunted down as a spy. Filming locations include South Wales and the shoot begins in June. Casting director Colin Jones is attached.

“The Spanish Princess”
Period drama “The Spanish Princess,” based on the books by Philippa Gregory, is shooting in the South West, starting in May. Following the death of her husband, the saga follows the life of Catherine of Aragon. Casting director Gary Davy is now onboard.

“A Christmas Carol”
Jack Thorne’s stage adaptation of festive favourite “A Christmas Carol” is to return to The Old Vic this winter. The production is casting now Rand runs from November 27 to January 19.
