U.K. Now Casting: Actor With Diverse Skills Wanted for Lead Role + More in ‘Traitless’

Go into the weekend on the tails of applying for one of these great gigs. The short films “Traitless” and “Trapped” are both seeking talented actors for lead protagonist and antagonist roles, as well as multiple supporting and background roles. There is also an opportunity to perform in Asia in a water-inspired live show.

Casting is underway for “Traitless,” a short film following Lucas, an awkward 21-year-old who lacks everything he thinks is important. A male actor, aged 18–25, is sought to play Lucas. Talent with diverse skills, including the ability to portray charisma, confidence, and arrogance via dialogue and facial expressions, is wanted. There is an additional lead role for a female actor, aged 18–25, to play Cain, Lucas’s best friend who moonlights as the antagonist, as well as roles for supporting actors, aged 18–55. Rehearsal dates are TBD and filming will take place Feb. 14–28 in Portsmouth, U.K. Pay is £7.50 per hour, plus expenses. Apply here!

Join “Trapped,” a short, student-produced crime drama following the life of a 20-year-old aspiring poet. A female actor, aged 18–25, is sought to play the lead role of Atarah. Talent must be able to act with scripted dialogue, facial expressions, and body language. Ability to cry on cue is a plus. There is another lead role available for a female actor, aged 25–35, to play Evie, the lead antagonist. Additionally, there are supporting and background roles available for talent, aged 18 and older. There is an audition by appointment on Jan. 13 in Portsmouth, U.K. The film will rehearse on dates TBD and shoots March 5–12 in and around Portsmouth, U.K. Pay is £7.50 per hour, plus expenses. Join “The House of Dancing Water,” a water-based live show drawing inspiration from Chinese culture, running in Asia throughout 2018. Gymnasts, sport acrobats, divers, high divers, and acro dancers, aged 18–45, are sought for the production. Auditions will take place in London, England on Jan. 29–31.
