Here are some of the top casting notices to wrap up the first week of February, including one for a cruise line, and projects shooting in L.A.
ROYAL CARIBBEAN PRODUCTIONS
The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is seeking actors to perform as DreamWorks costumed characters. Union and nonunion contracts are offered, and auditions are Feb. 7 in the Sunshine State.
THE THEATER BARN 2016 SUMMER SEASON
It’s time to get in the spirit of Summer Stock! New Lebanon, New York’s Theater Barn is casting all roles March 3, 4, and 6 for productions including “The Wedding Singer,” “Don’t Talk to the Actors,” “The Cocktail Hours,” and others, which will run from mid-June to the end of September. Roles pay $250/week and housing will be provided.
“ZOMBIES RULE”
Tre Stage is casting the play “Zombies Rule.” The play follows the stories of four different groups of survivors during a zombie apocalypse. There are three roles for men, two parts for women, and a third that is written for either a man or a woman. Rehearsals occur for three weeks and performances are held in L.A. Pay is based on ticket sales (actors are not required to sell tickets).
“STINGER”
Producer Kyle Nolan and director Brian Lipko are casting their short film, “Stinger,” which centers on a creative boy who invents something powerful beyond his control just before he finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Creatives are seeking to cast the male lead (ages 8–15), as well as three supporting roles: Henchman 1, Henchman 2, and Witness. Pay is $500 for the lead, $300 for Henchman 1, $200 for Henchman 2, and $100 for Witness, but is negotiable. Rehearsals are tentatively set to begin mid-March and run through April for an early June shoot in Palmdale, California.
“RUMORS”
Creatives are casting actors for a film that centers on Jessica, a popular girl with a secretive side. Filming will take place the week of March 14 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, mostly in and around Arlington, Texas. Compensation will be provided for major roles, which are still available.
