The winner of Backstage’s 2015 Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s favorite acting coach is offering two upcoming opportunities for Atlanta actors to catapult themselves toward thriving careers.
Erik Lingvall, founder of The Acting Camp, is also an acting coach at Atlanta’s Catapult Acting Studios. His 15 years of industry experience in Los Angeles and the Southeast make him distinctly qualified to offer the kinds of insight aspiring actors need to succeed.
On December 16 at 1 P.M. at the Rivers Academy in Alpharetta, Ga., Lingvall will host a free seminar for parents of performers. Focusing on the area’s growing film industry, tax incentives, and Atlanta-based agents and managers, the seminar is a great opportunity for parents looking to get their kids involved in the Southeast’s growing entertainment industry. Register here—again, it’s free!
In January, Lingvall will welcome two L.A.-based talent representatives to Catapult Acting Studios: Shepard Smith of Luber Roklin (which represents Olivia Cooke and Steven Moyer) and Pedro Tapia of CESD (representing Aubrey Plaza and Jon Cryer). Along with L.A. actor Joe Massingill, the four pros will hold a pilot prep workshop Jan. 16 and 17; the two-day workshop will include scene prep and on-camera work in one session for adults and, due to popular demand, two available sessions for kids and teens. Capacity is limited, so register now to polish your audition technique.
