Utah-Area Actors: Kevin Costner’s Upcoming Series is Holding an Open Call for Background Roles

Kevin Costner’s series “Yellowstone,” which is currently in production, is holding an open call for thousands of extras in Sandy, Utah for the production.

The show follows Costner as the head of a family that owns a ranch that borders Yellowstone National Park and is the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. It will star Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, Gretchen Mol, and more alongside Costner. It’s the actor’s first starring role in a TV series.

Production is currently underway and will continue through mid-December in Utah. The show will air at a date to be announced on the new Paramount channel, which will debut in January 2018.

Kelly Hunt and Tracy Dixon are casting the project and will be at the call on Saturday, Oct. 14, rain or shine, to meet people interested in being part of the shoot. Men and women, aged 16 and older, are welcome to take part in the call. If chosen, pay is $150 per day for stand-ins, photo doubles, and featured extras, $101.50 per day for background work, and an extra $25 per day if your car is featured.
