It’s already the season for holiday ads, and you can get paid to star in a holiday-themed canned cocktail video. Plus, a trio of short films are seeking talent today.

Canned Cocktail Holiday Ad

Pure Cinema is seeking talent for a holiday-themed canned cocktail ad. Talent, aged 28–40, is wanted to portray friends at a holiday gathering. Filming will take place on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 in San Diego, Julian, or Fallbrook, California. Pay is $100–$400 for three hours of work.

“Thirstygirl”

Join the cast of “Thirstygirl,” a short film that follows Charlie, who reluctantly agrees to drive her estranged alcoholic sister to rehab after a relapse, all while she deals with a secret addiction of her own along the way. Talent, aged 18–90, is wanted for leads, supporting, and day player roles, including the starring roles of Charlie and Nic. Filming will take place on Nov. 2–5 in Cortlandt, New York. Pay is $200–$1,000 plus 20% if applicable.

“Birth of a Mind”

Casting is underway for “Birth of a Mind,” a dramatic short film intended for film festivals. Actors, aged 9–55, are wanted for various roles in the project, including the lead role of Steve. The actor playing Steve must speak Vietnamese. Filming will take place on Sept. 9–11 in Long Beach, California. Pay is $100–$170.

“Protozoa Eat Me”

Join the cast of “Protozoa Eat Me,” a short film centered on the unlikely romance between a small-town miner and a restive microbiologist, exploring the surprising resilience of life even in the harshest conditions. Talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted for various roles, including the lead role of Oscar. Filming will take place in the late fall in Southern California. Pay is $200–$400 per day.
