In July of last year before “Hamilton” was taking Broadway by storm, it was just the new kid on the block! Instead of sending over a fruit basket the day before opening last summer, the cast of “Les Misérables” had a hip-hop housewarming of their own, sending this hilarious audition video of its cast rapping their hellos and well wishes.
“Hey ‘Hamilton,’ don’t break a sweat; this is just a message from Fantine and Cosette,” the welcome wagon vid begins. “You’re moving next door for your Broadway debut; here is our audition to join your crew! I die in Act I and she’s free for an hour; we could join Act II and bring the French power!”
It’s been nearly a year since the offer, but can we please make this musical crossover happen?!
