In the aftermath of the VMAs, it’s only right we look back at what put Miley Cyrus, the show’s host, on the MTV stage in the first place: her audition for the role that made her famous, Disney’s “Hannah Montana.”
Cyrus was only 12 when she read for the show’s titular character. This clip shows her progression through the audition gamut—from her self-taped, at-home audition to her chemistry read and singing session with her real-life and on-screen father Billy Ray Cyrus, all the way up to her final audition, Cyrus was always magnetic.
Get a peek of that early-days sass we saw a lot of during the VMAs!
