Between Renée Zellweger’s television drama “What/If” and her upcoming biographical film about Judy Garland, the Renée-sance is officially underway.

The Academy Award-winning star returns to the big screen Sept. 27 with Roadside Attractions’ “Judy,” a late-in-life snapshot of the legendary entertainer, directed by Rupert Goold and written by Tom Edge. Co-starring Finn Wittrock as Garland’s fifth husband Mickey Deans, plus Darci Shaw, Rufus Sewell, Michael Gambon, Jessie Buckley, and Bella Ramsey, the biopic seems to be vying for the attention of awards voters already.
