Theo James isn’t too keen on the “Circle of Love.”
James spoke to Stephen Colbert about the uncomfortable acting exercise he practiced as a student at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England.
“They made us do some horrendous stuff,” James said. “Some stuff that I have still not recovered from.”
“Circle of Love” is one particular acting exercise he could recount for all the wrong reasons.
James elaborated on the exercise that required everyone to sit next to one another in a big circle. Each person must turn to the actor next to them and reveal four things they love about them. James emphasized the actors didn’t really know each other yet.
“They got to me and I was like, ‘I just really need to vomit,’ ” James said.
Colbert decided to get in on the fun and play a round of “Circle of Love” with James resulting in a hilarious back and forth between the two.
James currently appears in the third installment of the “Divergent” series, “Allegiant,” opposite Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer, Jeff Daniels, Ansel Elgort, and Miles Teller.
