You hear it all the time: Actors need to market themselves online. But just how do you do it when money is tight? Backstage Expert and ActorWebs.com founder Amy Russ, says there are excellent free resources—including a personal website!—that can help become the name on everyone’s lips. Whether you’re social media savvy or use old-fashioned email lists, as long as you’re consistent, you will be successful. (Just remember to always get permission before emailing people: “Spamming is not sexy and it’s not good marketing,” Russ says.)
