Hey, New York City actors! Stay in the loop and be sure to check back every week for projects currently in production in the place you call home. Here’s the 411 on what’s filming big and small in your city.
“Marry Me”
Jennifer Lopez is already back to work on her next big project. The star is reportedly filming this week for “Marry Me,” a Universal feature film she will star in alongside Colombian pop star Maluma. Production will be based along Conover Street and Wolcott Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Kat Coiro (“Dead to Me”) will direct the project, which follows a music superstar who is jilted by her rock-star fiancé moments before their wedding at Madison Square Garden—so she marries a random man from the crowd instead. Owen Wilson, Sarah Silverman, Michelle Buteau, and John Bradley of “Game of Thrones” fame also star.
Local actors will be featured in the film as a background actor: the production is currently seeking talent to portray backup dancers (no actual dancing required). Head over to the Backstage casting notice and apply directly!
