Recruitment is now underway for 2016’s most vibrant summer theater fest!

The renowned Williamstown Theatre Festival, bringing both top-notch talent and future stage professionals to the Berkshires every summer since 1995, has opened applications for its internship, fellowship, and apprenticeship programs, seasonal staff positions, as well as the non-equity acting company.

One of the top training programs for theater artists in the country, WTF has helped launch the careers of Patricia Clarkson, Michael C. Hall, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kate Hudson, Allison Janney, Gwyneth Paltrow, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Reeve, George C. Wolfe, and many others. Each summer around 250 aspiring pros—actors, writers, directors, designers, technicians, and administrators—are provided a comprehensive and intensive introduction to the industry alongside established theater veterans.

The Fellowship Program, consisting of the Boris Sagal Directing Fellowship/Drama League Residency and the Bill Foeller Directing Fellowship, is one of the country’s only director-driven developmental initiatives. Interns, meanwhile, work alongside industry pros in multiple creative, administrative, and technical areas. The Apprentice Program, dubbed “the lifeblood of the Williamstown Theatre Festival,” encompasses work for all the festival’s departments and a variety of master classes, plus an opportunity to audition for productions and special events. The festival’s Non-Equity Company, made up of professional actors largely from esteemed graduate programs, holds auditions in NYC each spring.

Application deadlines for joining WTF in any of the above positions range between January 4 and March 1, 2016. Both merit and need-based scholarships are available. For more information, visit wtfestival.org.
