“THE GET DOWN”
Who’s excited for Baz Luhrmann’s Netflix music drama? The director needs nonunion actors for background work in the New York City-based show. The shoot, which is a paid gig occurs Feb. 11 with a Feb. 8 fitting, and possible ongoing work throughout filming is available. This could be a huge opportunity for NYC performers. After all, look at the actor who was bumped from extra to main role!

“HAMLET”
Nuance Theatre Co. is seeking talented thespians to bring life to one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved tragedies. The John DeSotelle Studio And Theatres will play host to the kings, queens, ghosts, and vengeful princes of Denmark in June. Speak the speech, I pray you! And trippingly on the tongue!

“BAD MOMS”
Attention, all New Orleans-based kid actors! Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Christina Applegate need young co-stars for their new feature film “Bad Moms,” a STX Entertainment production. The story finds their three characters “on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities, going on a wild un-momlike binge of freedom, fun and self-indulgence.” This gig shoots Feb. 10–14 in Louisiana.

“IDIOT”
A new opportunity from writer-director Kristin Marting and writer Robert Lyonat at HERE Arts Center pays $263 a week on an Equity Transition Contract. “Idiot,” a promising play, will be auditioning for four roles on Feb. 17. Rehearsals will begin April 4, so don’t be an idiot—and get in on the action!
