Just ahead of Valentine’s Day comes an even bigger holiday: “Wuthering Heights” release day! The loose adaptation of Emily Brontë‘s 1847 gothic romance novel, written and directed by Emerald Fennell and starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, will be released in theaters exactly one week from today. To celebrate the highly anticipated release, we’ve rounded up the best romantic projects guaranteed to make your pulse race. 

Scripted TikTok Microseries, Modern Romance Tropes 

inHouse Productions is seeking fun, energetic performers for an upcoming TikTok microseries following a woman as she dates her way through a lineup of iconic “BookTok boyfriends,” each inspired by beloved romance tropes. Male actors, aged 18–40, are wanted to play the Bad Boy, the Jock Good Guy, the Tortured Soul, and the Regular Guy. Filming is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 17–18 in New Jersey and surrounding areas. Pay is $750–$3,000.

“Closet Cases” 

312 Productions is seeking talent for “Closet Cases,” a romance-drama series set in the early 1990s as two closeted law students face their families, their futures, and their feelings for each other. Two male actors, aged 21–40, are wanted to play the starring roles of Nick and James. Filming locations and dates are TBD. Pay is $400–$800 per day for a planned four days of work, with travel and housing expenses covered.

“Summer Thing”  

Join the cast of “Summer Thing,” a short drama film centered on two young women in a forbidden romance on their last day together in Florida. A Latina actor, age 18–22, is wanted to play the co-lead role of Aurora. Filming will take place this spring, dates and locations TBD. Pay is $300.

“Glass Vail”  

Casting is underway for “Glass Vail,” a dramatic World War II-era short film centered on a forbidden love story between two women trapped inside a world of corruption, political power, and moral danger. Talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted for several roles in the project, including the lead roles of Julia and Zofia. Production is also hiring several crew positions, including an assistant director. Filming will take place in Summer 2026 in Boise, Idaho, and its surrounding areas. Pay is$150–$800 for acting roles, except background roles, which are unpaid. Crew compensation ranges between unpaid and $800.

“Room With a View,” Actors and Crew  

Join the cast of “Room With a View,” a romantic drama series following two colleagues who, over the course of a decade, conduct an affair in the same suite each time. A voice actor, age 18 or older, is now wanted as the narrator for the project. Production is also currently hiring multiple crew positions, including a director of photography. Talent will work in Los Angeles with dates TBD. The narrator is paid $500 for 2 hours of work. Crew will be paid $6,300.

“Mark & Paige” 

Join the cast of “Mark & Paige,” a Capstone short film following two young lovers who rush into marriage believing love alone is enough, only to be confronted by reality as passion fades and selfishness takes hold. California-based actors, aged 20–55, are wanted for the starring duo and an additional supporting role. Filming is scheduled for Feb. 20–21 in Santa Clarita. Pay is $160 for the supporting role and $320 for the lead roles.

“Where is Laura”  

Join the cast of “Where is Laura,” a scripted sports romance-drama series. Nationwide talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted for several roles in the series, including the protagonist Rashard Black, a D1 five-star quarterback. Filming will take place in late April and May in and around Ohio. Pay is $450–$810 per day for up to 15 days of work.
