Welcome to One Shot With HBO, a pop-up video series that takes a closer look at HBO’s award contenders.

Yvonne Orji has brought to life one of the central figures of HBO’s “Insecure” for four seasons, and has now—finally!—earned Emmy Award recognition, one of the show’s eight nominations.

The actor-comedian’s portrayal of Molly Carter, an attorney often more dedicated to work than the social and romantic parts of her life, is one of the reasons “Insecure” feels so relatable. Created by and starring Issa Rae, the critically acclaimed hit features twenty-somethings balancing work and relationships in Los Angeles; Orji’s ability to pull off both comedy and drama continues to enhance the series’ authenticity.

On the Season 4 finale, Molly tries to prevent the crumbling of her relationship with Andrew (Alexander Hodge). Take a look at Orji’s Emmy-nominated work in the clip below.
