Are those online/Zoom sessions really worth it?
Hi all,

“I’m in ‘save as much $$ as possible’ mode right now and quite frankly, I’ve found the idea of paying for online sessions with a CDaAgent or online acting classes a little difficult to swallow. Even when working on film/TV pieces, I’ve always preferred in-person unless it’s a coaching I need ASAP. For example, Kimball Studio [online] classes are expensive—are they really worth the (even with $50 off) price right now?

“What about the monologue challenges? Do you think they’re helping your career when things return to normal or are you doing them as a ‘just in case’ and to keep the muscles going kind of thing? Do you ever receive feedback? Is anyone else as skeptical about it as I am?

“Many thanks for taking the time to respond. I clearly have certain feelings about this and would love to be proven wrong.” —secretactorian

Voiceover Reel Help?
“Hey friends,

“Given the world circumstances, Voiceover jobs seem like a viable option... except, I have no reel. Does anyone have any guidance how to start a reel? I have recording equipment, just not sure what to start ‘recording.’ Thank you!” —workingcatmom

Signing with an agency after school?
“I was wondering how important it is to sign with an agency right after graduating college. I know some people who were signed to a talent agency right after graduating with a BFA, whereas I graduated with a BA from a liberal arts school (with no showcase or anything). Should I be looking to sign with an agency as well or does it not really matter/create many more opportunities in the long run?” —sg16
