After director Ben Affleck failed to score an Oscar nomination this morning, his film "Argo" took home the top prize at the Broadcast Film Critics Association Critics Chocie Awards. Affleck also took best director and began his speech by joking, "I would like to thank the Academy. I'm kidding, I'm kidding!"

As I've said before, the Critics Choice Awards are presented by film journalists, not Academy voters.
