In a little over a week, the Screen Actors Guild will announce their picks for the top awards presented to and voted upon by actors.

Honoring Hollywood’s best acting on the big and small screens in the calendar year, each year’s SAG Awards are presented in a celebratory ceremony in Los Angeles. This year’s buzziest, most accolade-worthy movies and television shows are currently jockeying for position among industry members casting their votes for nominations in 15 categories.

The guild also recently made a special announcement: For the first time in the group’s history, the SAG Awards have a host. Kristen Bell, a regular of both film and TV and the current star of NBC’s “The Good Place,” will preside over the 24th annual ceremony.

“I am honored to be part of the SAG Awards, and am a little nervous about being its first-ever host,” Bell said in a statement. “I’m so glad that I’ll be in the company of my fellow actors, many of whom I’ve worked with before, so I know they’ll be warm and supportive. It’s going to be an amazing night.” The ceremony—which will fete this year’s Life Achievement Award earner Morgan Freeman—will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS Jan. 21, 2018, beginning 5 P.M. PT.
