In the forthcoming feature “Stronger,” Jake Gyllenhaal will portray the real-life Boston Marathon bombing survivor, Jeff Bauman, who lost both of his legs at the knee in the deadly 2013 attack.
In a first prominent big-screen role, Tatiana Maslany will play Bauman’s then-girlfriend Erin Hurley, in a cast that also includes Miranda Richardson and Clancy Brown.
The feature, from Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate, will hit theaters on Sept. 22. You can watch the full trailer below (with an obligatory tissue advisory).
