The new theater season has just begun, but it isn’t too early to look ahead towards the next one.

The “Pretty Woman” musical, based on the Garry Marshall film, is coming to Broadway in 2018. Before it does, the production will hold an out of town tryout in Chicago—which you can be a part of.

Led by Telsey + Company, the team will hold both Equity Principal Auditions and Chorus Calls in New York City.

Equity Chorus Calls will be held on Oct. 25 for male talent, aged 20–39, and female talent, aged 20–30. Performers must be strong technical dancers as well as strong pop and rock singers.

Meanwhile, a male actor, aged 50–79, is sought for the principal role of James Morse, a baritone who doesn’t necessarily have to be a strong singer. Talent will be seen Oct. 27.

Principal and ensemble talent will both be hired adhering to Equity Production (League) Agreements and will be paid $1,974 per week.

Rehearsals for the run will begin Jan. 22, 2018 in New York, before the cast travels to Chicago, Illinois for rehearsals Feb. 25. The run itself is slated for March 13–April 15 at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

Featuring direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell and a score by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, the tuner will strut to a to-be-announced Nederlander theater the following fall. The cast will be led by Tony winner Steve Kazee, Samantha Barks, Jason Danieley, and Tony nominee, Orfeh.
