LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE 2018-19 SEASON
Calling all L.A. stage actors! There are many exciting opportunities happening now for the upcoming season at the Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach, California. Female talent, aged 18–24, that is wheelchair-bound and/or has lower-body physical disabilities, is being sought for feature film “Run.” The story follows a college-bound wheelchair-using and perennially-ill teenager who suspects that her loving mother is keeping a terrible secret from her. DreamWorks’ most beloved ogre is hitting the L.A. stage! Male and female talent, aged 8–49, is sought to fill over 20 singing and dancing roles in a musical adaptation of “Shrek.” Auditions for singers will be held on Aug. 2 in Los Angeles. Auditions for dancers will be held on Aug. 4 in Thousand Oaks, California. Rehearsals begin Sept. 15, and the show runs Oct. 19–28 at the Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks, California. “MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET”
Spend six months at sea as the star in musical “Million Dollar Quartet.” Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is seeking talent to star as three of rock and roll’s pioneering figures, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash, as well as the man who discovered them, Sam Phillips. Male talent, aged 20–40, as well as one female, aged 18–30, are wanted for the show. Auditions take place in L.A. on Aug. 1. Selected performers will earn between $900 and $1,400 per week.
