Interpreting the work of Shakespeare will never go out of style, and it is seemingly a rite of passage for every stage actor. R&J of Oakland is seeking a female, aged 40–75, to play two roles as a nurse and Lady Montague in a reimagination of the Bard’s greatest love story. Talent should be located near Oakland, California. “REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES”
Body-confident women, don’t miss the opportunity to star in Garry Marshall Theatre’s upcoming production of “Real Women Have Curves!” Five women, aged 18–50, with specific body types are sought to play and understudy Latina women in their discovery of being comfortable in one’s own body. “FANCY NANCY”
Have the chance to play one of four supporting roles in an upcoming production of “Fancy Nancy.” The Chance Theater is seeking three females and one male, all aged 18–35, who are located in California, to play eight-year-old children. TYC Productions is searching for the next Ben Platt to star in an upcoming recording and production of “And Then You Came.” Male Caucasian talent from Los Angeles, aged 21–32, is sought to star as Joel Ridgeway, a high school teacher who is insecure at first until he gets a letter from his high school crush. The role rehearses on Aug. 18 and 19, and will record in late August, around Aug. 27–29, in L.A. Talent will be paid $500 and $100 for recording and stage reading phase of production, respectively. “A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS”
Young talent is sought for a supporting role in an upcoming stage production of Khaled Hosseini’s deeply moving, best-selling novel. “A Thousand Splendid Suns” follows the story of two Afghani women in a heartbreakingly tumultuous setting of oppression. A boy, aged 7–12, of Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, or Pacific Islander descent is sought to play Zalmai, a precocious young boy. ABC’S “FAMILY FOOD FIGHT”
Australia’s hit TV series “Family Food Fight” is headed to the States! Join Ayesha Curry and the producers of “MasterChef” for the chance to win $100,000! Little Chad Casting is seeking four families to compete in the upcoming show. Families of all ethnicities are sought. Each must have 3–5 members and each member must be over the age of 18. Family members should be fun and outgoing and can be of any relation—grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, or siblings.
