Nearly 13 million viewers tuned in last year to “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” the first of several NBC TV movies based on country icon Dolly Parton’s life and songs. Now Parton and co. are back for round two with “Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love”!
Jennifer Nettles and Ricky Schroder are back starring in the film from director Stephen Herek. “The film will deliver Christmas joy and peril as an unexpected blizzard threatens the Parton family,” its casting notice reads. “At the same time Dolly’s father (and his kids) make sacrifices to raise enough money to finally buy his loving wife the wedding ring he could never afford to give her.”
Casting director Jamie Lynn Catrett is seeking young Atlanta, Georgia-based talent (Caucasian actors aged 6–9) to play school kids. The anticipated film is scheduled to shoot in Atlanta July 18–Aug. 12 and pays background talent $120 per eight hours’ work.
