Casting is now underway for “Project EK,” a student thesis short film about a young boy who is trying to escape from a cult, and the project is seeking two actors for the lead roles.

A young male actor, aged 6–12, is wanted to play a boy who has spent his entire life living in isolation under the guidance of a mysterious organization.

Additionally, a male actor, aged 35 or older, is wanted to play the “Grinning Man,” a wise, middle-aged, “zen” leader of an underground Eastern influenced cult-like organization.

“Project EK” will shoot from the end of February through March in the San Francisco Bay, California area. Both leads will be paid $100 per full day and $50 per half day, with meals provided.
