Now Casting: Background Roles in 'Brian Banks' Starring Greg Kinnear + More

The ever-timely and topical “Brian Banks,” an upcoming feature film starring Aldis Hodge and Greg Kinnear, is currently shooting in Memphis and looking for background actors for a variety of roles. If you can’t make it out to Memphis, there are background opportunities available on BET’s “The Quad,” as well as the upcoming feature films “Last Laugh” and “The Hate U Give.”

Casting continues for the upcoming feature film “Brian Banks,” starring Aldis Hodge and Greg Kinnear in the story of “an All-American football player [whose] dreams to play in the NFL are halted when he is falsely accused of rape and sent to prison.” Male and female actors, aged 18–65, are wanted to portray teachers, high school students, and police officers in background roles. There are also roles available for young actors, aged 8–10, to portray elementary school students. The production shoots this month in Memphis, Tennessee. Pay is $64 for eight hours of work. Casting is underway for the BET TV series “The Quad,” a look inside “the unique, culture-filled world of an HBCU in today’s climate.” Male and female talent, aged 18–30, are wanted to portray pajama party goers in background roles on the series. Actors must wear either lingerie or pajamas for the scene. Shooting is this month in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay is $64 for eight hours. Apply here!

Join “Last Laugh,” an upcoming feature-length film, in a background role this fall. The production is seeking male talent, aged 18–49, to portray sailors. Actors must have a military haircut. “Last Laugh” will shoot Oct. 17 and 19 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Some pay will be provided. Apply here!

Casting is now underway for “The Hate U Give,” the upcoming feature film that will follow the story of a 16-year-old girl who is stuck between two very different worlds as she tries to speak her truth following the shooting of her unarmed best friend by a police officer. Two female actors, aged 18–40, are wanted to portray basketball players. Level of skill necessary varies depending on the role. The production will shoot Oct. 13 in Atlanta, Georgia.
