Today in Backstage casting notices, you can get paid to attend a cocktail party—well, a pretend cocktail party, anyway. NBC’s breakout series starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton, “Blindspot,” is currently seeking background talent for an upcoming episode. Additionally, we have three more on-screen opportunities. Check them out below!

“BLINDSPOT”
If you’ve ever felt like wearing your finest duds to work in the morning, now is your chance. NBC’s “Blindspot” is casting background talent to depict guests at “a chic cocktail party.” Men are required to wear a black suit, while women must wear a black dress. Production will take place Aug. 16 and 22 in New York City.

“HEXENGEDDON”
Casting is underway for several lead and supporting roles in "Hexengeddon," a short film based on the comic book of the same name. The union and nonunion gig, following “an act of cruelty against a young witch [that] becomes a social media sensation,” will rehearse and shoot in early 2017 in North Texas.

“THE CAFE”
“The Cafe,” an upcoming pilot based on an original script, plans to hold a casting call for multiple roles. The project, from Henri Sera Productions and director Aleksandr Zamyatin, will rehearse August–September in Los Angeles, with shooting slated for October, also in Los Angeles.

“CONTAGIOUS LAUGHTER”
If versatility is among your skill set, this is for you. An actor is sought for a leading role in a commercial shoot entitled, “Contagious Laughter.” The actor will depict “fifteen different characters living in different locations in N.Y.; the main idea in this commercial is based on each character’s unique and original laugh.” Production will take place in August, in Brooklyn, New York.
